Short of demand factor pushed the prices up on the wholesale grain market in the process of trading on Saturday, dealers said. On the cereals side, Makai low type gained Rs 125 to Rs 2625 and the good type was higher by Rs 86 to Rs 2675, Juwar picked up Rs 100 to Rs 2350-2400, Moong Punjab went up sharply, gaining Rs 1500 to Rs 7500, Moong Peshawar rose by Rs 100 to Rs 8000, wheat New Bardan appreciated by Rs 20 to Rs 3060, they said.

Only one change was seen on the grams side, where a very special food item of the winter season, Bajra, which was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 2700 and 3240, they said. On the rice Irri-6 Sindh low type was down by Rs 10 to Rs 3160, the better type, however, gained Rs 40 to Rs 3240, they said. On the seeds side, Til inferior type lost Rs 300 to Rs 5800 and the best quality was down by Rs 200 to Rs 6100, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh (New) fell by Rs 50 to Rs 800-850 due to comfortable supply, they said.
